Research Highlights
Bioinformatics is a fast-growing interdisciplinary field that combines biology, computer science, and data science to analyze and interpret complex biological data. At the CSI Lab, we conduct research and development in the following areas of bioinformatics:
- Development of new algorithms for the analysis of genomic and proteomic data, including gene expression, epigenetic modifications, and genetic variation.
- Design and implementation of new tools for drug discovery and target identification, including virtual screening, molecular dynamics simulations, and machine learning-based approaches.
- Creation of platforms and pipelines for large-scale analysis of genomic data, including DNA sequencing, transcriptomics, and metagenomics.
- Development of new approaches for data visualization and interpretation, including network analysis, pathway analysis, and interactive dashboards.
- Investigation of the role of genomic and epigenetic changes in disease and the identification of new therapeutic targets.
- Design and implementation of new methods for the analysis of single-cell data, including single-cell sequencing, transcriptomics, and epigenomics.
- Development of new tools for personalized medicine, including predictive models for disease risk, drug response, and diagnosis.
